When to Seek Emergency Care

Recognizing true emergencies can save lives. If you experience any of these symptoms, come to our emergency department immediately or call 911.

Chest Pain or Pressure

Especially if it radiates to your arm, neck, or jaw, accompanied by sweating, nausea, or shortness of breath. Could indicate a heart attack.

Stroke Symptoms

Sudden numbness, confusion, trouble speaking, vision problems, dizziness, or severe headache. Remember: BE FAST (Balance, Eyes, Face, Arms, Speech, Time).

Difficulty Breathing

Severe shortness of breath, choking, inability to catch your breath, or turning blue. May indicate asthma attack, pulmonary embolism, or other serious conditions.

Uncontrolled Bleeding

Bleeding that won't stop after applying pressure for 10 minutes, or significant blood loss from any injury.

Severe Burns

Large or deep burns, burns on face, hands, feet, or genitals, chemical burns, or electrical burns.

Pediatric Emergencies

High fever in infants, seizures, dehydration, breathing difficulties, or serious injuries. Our pediatric ER specialists are available 24/7.

When in Doubt, Come to the ER

If you're unsure whether your condition is an emergency, it's always better to be safe. Our emergency physicians are trained to evaluate and prioritize all conditions. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911 immediately for ambulance transport.

What to Expect in Our Emergency Department

Our streamlined process ensures you receive the right care at the right time.

1

Triage Assessment

Upon arrival, a nurse will quickly assess your condition to determine the severity of your illness or injury. This helps us prioritize the most critical cases.

2

Registration

While medical care begins immediately, our registration team will collect your information. Have your ID and insurance card ready if possible.

3

Medical Evaluation

An emergency physician will examine you, order necessary tests (lab work, X-rays, CT scans), and begin treatment.

4

Treatment & Disposition

Based on test results, you'll receive treatment. Most patients go home with follow-up instructions, while others may be admitted to the hospital.
